CareBoard is a small display that lives where your parent lives — the kitchen counter, the nightstand, the room at the assisted-living community. You send messages, photos, and reminders from the ParentCareHQ app, and they simply appear in large, readable text. No taps. No menus. Nothing for your parent to learn.

CareBoard isn't about alerts and dashboards. It's about the little things you'd say if you lived down the street.
“Good morning, Mom.”
You type it Sunday night and schedule it for 8am. It appears right on cue, next to her coffee — and her day starts with a note from you.
“Maya scored two goals tonight!”
Your daughter’s soccer photo shows up on the board an hour after practice. Photos rotate gently between messages, like a frame that always has something new.
“Take your pills with breakfast.”
The reminder that used to be a daily phone call now appears every morning on its own — in text big enough to read from across the kitchen.
“Dr. Patel, tomorrow at 2:00.”
Appointment reminders post themselves the day before, straight from your family’s ParentCareHQ calendar. Nobody has to remember to send them.

Between messages, CareBoard shows a big, calm clock with the full day and date — quietly answering “what day is it?” as many times as it’s asked.

Why we built it
Most of us are supporting a parent from somewhere else — a different town, a different state, a different coast. You call when you can. But a phone call is a moment, and a day is long.
I kept wishing there were a way to just be around. Not to check up, not to run through a checklist on the phone — just to leave a note on the kitchen counter the way you would if you lived down the street. “Good morning.” “Maya says hi.” “Dr. Patel tomorrow at 2.”
That's CareBoard. It's not another gadget your parent has to learn, because they never touch it. It's a little bit of your presence, sitting on the counter, all day long.
